She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Clemmons and Maude Clemmons; her husband Leonard R. Ownby; and her grandchildren, Amy Dawn Ownby, Lucas Neil Ownby and Molly Ownby.
She is survived by: her children, Stanley Ownby of Buffalo, MO, Steven Ownby (Treona) of Long Lane, MO, Sharlene Highfill (David) of Buffalo, MO and Sheila Gan (Jimmy) of Lebanon, MO; and her sister-in-law Pauline Ownby of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude Cancer Research.
