He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Matney; and his adoptive parents, Emory Holder and Jessie Holder. He is survived by: his grandson James; his wife Mary Holder (Schreckhise) of Buckner; his sons, Jasen Holder (Tasha) of Rogersville and Josh Holder (Jennifer) of Branson; his stepdaughters, Mary Jo Cross of Buckner and Carol Worley of Oak Grove; and his siblings, Retta Hamilton (Clark) of Farley, John Knott (Janice) of Marshall, Martha Sue Knott-Nicholson of Warrensburg and Jane McMakin (JoAnn Holder Sanford) of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Richmond (9502 Leathers Rd, Richmond, MO 64085). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Hope Cemetery.
