He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Ann Whitaker (Brown); and his stepfather Bill Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Jessica Lynn Thomas (Douglas) of Buckner, MO and Chad Edwin Burns of Wellington, MO; his siblings, William G. Burns (Rita) of East Liverpool, OH, Charles A. Burns (Diana), Sue Ellen Howell-Perry of Phoenix, AZ and Tonya Spikes of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Kenadi, Chase, Graham, Steven and Katelynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
