He was predeceased by: his father James Giger Sr; his grandson Isaiah Meyer; his stepparents, Daniel Meads and Delma Giger; and his stepsister Lora Engelhardt.
He is survived by: his spouse Charla; his children, Steven Meyer (Amanda) of Brunswick, MO, Cindy Gilman of Brunswick, MO and Robert Meyer (Lindsay) of Brunswick, MO; his mother Jane Meads of DeWitt, MO; his grandchildren, Schylar Meyer, Addi Meyer, Emma Jo Meyer, Cole Cruse, Mariah Cruse, Gracie Gilman, Jesse Gilman, Kailey Gilman, Kace Meyer, Grant Meyer and Gage Meyer; and his stepsiblings, Billy Engelhardt (Gina) and Shelly Withrow (Raymond).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to Family Choice.
