He is survived by: his wife Hazel Downing; his children, Louise Olsen (John), Richard Pillius (Carol) and Karen Brotherton (Robert); and his sister Barbara Arlotta. He is also survived by five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
