He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Carroll and Vivian Irene Smith (Hendon). He is survived by: his children, Ricky Smith of Sturgeon and Amanda Nida of Lucerne; his siblings, Carroll Smith of Kirksville and Terry Smith (Anita) of Milan; his niece Clarrisa Smith; and his aunts, Kathryn Creason (Hollon) of Milan and Bernice Ludwig of Browning.
