With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin J. Lewis of Broseley, Missouri, born in Dexter, Missouri, who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Lewis and Irene Rector Lewis; his daughter Katie Dunlap Perry; and his siblings, Frank Lewis, Ed Lewis, Emmett Lewis, Norman Lewis, Virgil Lewis, Orville Lewis, Lola Henson, Mary Duncan and Ann Belle Harp.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Lewis of New Madrid, Missouri, Rene Garcia of Southaven, Kristi Reed of Dexter, Kelly Dunlap of Tennessee and Sheila Renee Lewis; and his sisters, Blanche Sturgeon of Charleston, Carolyn Patterson of Broseley and Wilma Lee Haley of Charleston, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
