With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Merle Smith of Brookfield, Missouri, who passed away on February 23, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Smith and Nettie Smith (Dowell); his wife Martha Ann Graham; his daughter Verna Suzanne Hazelrigg; his son-in-law Roy Davison; and his siblings, Norma Jenkins, Loren Smith and Virgil Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Laurinda Davison of Chillicothe and Stephen Smith of Kingsport, Tennessee; his grandsons, Edward Lee Enyeart (Kathleen) of Kansas City and Phillip Stephen Davison (Ashlea) of Portland, Oregon; his great grandchildren, Ian Enyeart of Kansas City, Alec Enyeart of Kansas City, Owen Fisher of Kansas City, Addy Fisher of Kansas City and Izzy Fisher of Kansas City; and his son-in-law Brent Hazelrigg of Columbia.
