She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Maxwell and Caroline Maxwell (Taylor); her former husband Clyde Lyndon Walls; and her husband Jack Dempsey Forbes. She is survived by: her sisters, Viola Inze (Ben Lambert), Nerene Mary (Cecil Ray Baskett) and Edna Ilene (Herbert Foster Atwood); her stepchildren, Jack Forbes of Brookfield and Sandra Forbes Sappington of Chillicothe; and her stepgrandchildren, Lindsey Forbes Ecklund, Travis Forbes, Lisa Sappington Rule and Lacey Sappington Morrill. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rhodes Funeral Home (216 Linn St, Brookfield, MO 64628). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery Park (28722 Inman Dr, Brookfield, MO 64628).
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial donations to be made to Life Care Center of Brookfield activities fund and can be left at or mailed to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, MO. 64628.
