He was predeceased by: his sister Brenda Kay Miller; and his father Kenneth Lyle Smith. He is survived by: his stepdaughter Kaley Gail Smith; his wife Carey Gail Stephens; his mother Betty Smith of Allendale, Missouri; his sister Sherry Hill (Chris) of Ashland; his brother-in-law Burton Miller of Allendale, Missouri.; his nieces, Renae Jones (Jesse), April Healy (Chris) and Kristen Hill; his nephew Jeremy Hill; his great-nephews, Brock Healy, Jaxton Jones and Jerex Jones; and his great-niece Gwyn Healy.
