He is survived by: his parents, Claude Carpenter and Mabel Carpenter (Mayo); his wife Lorene; his son Steve Carpenter (Trudy) of Kansas City; his grandsons, Ryan M. Carpenter (Lauren) of Merced and Brent M. Carpenter (Sarah) of Bloomington; his great grandchildren, Woods C. Carpenter, Dylan A. Carpenter and Deacon J. Carpenter; and his siblings, William Carpenter, Dorothy Mildred Wallace and Nadine Curtright.
