He was predeceased by: his parents, George William and Vivian Florence Strunk (Anderson); his wife Iris Ann Strunk (Grabanski); his grandchildren, Terra Grace Strunk and Adam Gordon Strunk; his sister Vivienne; his brother-in-law Edwin Keeven; his brothers, George "Bud" Strunk and Marvin William Strunk; his brothers-in-law, Robert Derhake Sr. and Steve Burke; and his parents-in-law, Winslow Martin and Dorothy Violet Grabanski (Kulas).

He is survived by: his children, Gordon Joseph Strunk of St. Peters, Ann Marie Hoover (Jeff) of Warrenton, Theresa Vivien Strunk of Lake St, Regina Dorothy Kimbrel (Charlie) of Foristel and Rita Iris Rutledge (Paul) of St. Peters; his sisters, Aileen Derhake (late Bob) of St. Ann and Carole Farmer (Jim) of O'Fallon; his siblings-in-law, Mark Grabanski (Linda), Martin Grabanski (Debbie), Diane Burke (late Steve), Cindy Burke (Kevin) and Kay Brennan (Dave); his grandchildren, Rhianna Hoover, Sara Hoover, Shauna Mika (Patrick), Kelly Dunlap, Janice Dunlap, Samantha Dunlap, Danielle Kimbrel, Michelle Kimbrel, Tyler Rutledge, Troy Rutledge, Jesse Walker (Kelly) of St. Peters and Denver Sullens Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Finley Iris Mika, Kailey and Kiera Walker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
