She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thurman and Juanita Thurman (Carr); and her close friend Paul Mellon. She is survived by: her children, Robert Smith of Kansas City, MO, Donald Smith of Kansas City, MO, Chris Smith (Shannon) of Cameron, MO and Jessilynn Johnson of Kansas City, MO; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Hobie, Clifford and Alyssa.
