She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Leon and Velma Jewel McPherson (Roberts); her husband Hubert Lee Swope Sr. Mrs; and her siblings, Darrell McPherson and Ellen Jones.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jackie Sharp of Gladstone, Dale McPherson of Trenton and Donald McPherson of North Caroline; her children, Carrie Cockriel of Braymer, Velma Arends (Jason) of Smithville and Brian Harris of Trimble; and her grandchildren, Draven, Keven, Steven, Sara and Ariana. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
