He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McElwee and Ruth Ellen McElwee (Stratton); his brothers, Johnny McElwee and Larry McElwee; his sisters-in-law, Janice McElwee and Leanne McElwee; his nephew Jeff Moore; and his great-nephew Kyle Eichler.
He is survived by: his children, Ryan Brant McElwee (Mara) of Braymer, Shane McElwee of Chillicothe, Missouri and Jackie Jackson of Braymer, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jerry Jackson (Mercedes), Morgan Jackson, Nevaeh Scott, Trey Scott, Derrick McElwee and Brooke McElwee; and his great grandchild Bennett Jackson.
