She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Burmeister and Louise Burmeister. She is survived by: her husband Roger Niekerk; her children, Laura Krueger (Joel), Michele Wessel (Pete) and Tim Niekerk (Kristin); her grandchildren, Grace, Nathan, Rachel, Caleb, Adrienne, Sophia, Isabella, Abraham, Josiah and Gabrielle; and her siblings, Patricia Burmeister-Harris and Robert August Burmeister. She is also survived by her family and friends.
