She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Thurston and Goldie Thurston (Williams); her husband Gerald; and her siblings, Alice Crain, Ruby Johnson, Frank Thurston and Harold Thurston.

She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Rantz (Cindy) of Nixa and Dennis Rantz (Robyn) of Reeds Spring; and her sister Joyce Borgmier (Joe) of Edgerton, Missouri.. She is also survived by Eight grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
