He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Salley and Emma Williams; and his siblings, Mason, Gus Jr., Betty McElrath and Faye Little.
He is survived by: his wife Piper Salley; his children, Brian Salley, Cynthia Garrett and Deborah Salley; and his sister Grace (Bud Ivy). He is also survived by three step-sons, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
