He is survived by: his friends, Dolly Parton, Connie Smith and Marty Stuart; his wife Jean Marie Trent; his children, Charles William Trent (Kim) of Lebanon, TN and Melissa Trent Hood (David) of Hermitage, TN; his grandchildren, Ben Trent of Nashville, TN, Heather Hood Hamilton (Stevie) of LaVergne, TN, Amber Hood Vargas (Jose) of Lebanon, TN and Laura Trent Yandell (Sebastian) of Mount Juliet, TN; his great grandchildren, Cruz Vargas, Sophia Vargas, Jamison Yandell and Graysen Yandell; his nephews, Ronnie Hyatt (Elizabeth) and Danny Hyatt of Greenville, SC; his niece Diane Hyatt Coggins; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Revard (Jan), Paul Revard (Kim), Kent Revard (Tracy) and Mark Revard (Laurie).
