He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGowan and Ruth McGowan (Renick); his sister Loretta Elspermann (Eugene); and his brother-in-law Lloyd Cox. He is survived by: his wife Betty McGowan of Bourbon, Missouri; his children, Linda Crump (Jerry) of Sullivan, Barbara McGowan of Jefferson City, Jeff McGowan (Anna) of Bourbon and Penny King (Chris) of Sullivan, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Greyson and Archer; and his siblings, Ted McGowan of Sullivan, Missouri, Charlie McGowan (Mary Jo) of Sullivan, Missouri, Vicki Jenkins (Butch) of Sullivan, Missouri and Mary Cox of Sullivan, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home (347 N Clark St, Sullivan, MO 63080). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home of Saint James.
