He is survived by: his sons, Gary Wayne Peters Jr. and Adam Peters of St. Louis; his stepdaughter Robyn Black of Bourbon; and his sister-in-law June Peters of Sullivan. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In keeping with his wishes, Gary's body will be donated to science.
