He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kramel and Ella Kramel (Dial); his son Philip Kramel (Peggy); and his siblings, Dorothy Benton (Ike), Rosaline Gerling (Francis), Betty Childers (Jack), Herman Kramel (Louise), Lillian Propes (Bob) and Jessie Showalter (Rex).

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Kramel; his daughter Kathy Hartman (Doug); his brothers, Bob Kramel (Sharon) and Emil Kramel (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Jason Hartman (Tessa), Greg Hartman (Shelly), Laura Kramel, Christine Rose (Jacob), Rachel Hartman, Lisa Hartman, Ashley Roach (Justin), Michael Hartman (Rachel) and Caitlyn Kramel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
