She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Chappell and Pearl Chappell (Kirschman); her husband Harold Maier Sr. (Karl McNew); her brother Lewis Chappell (Dolly); her sons, Mike and Floyd Maier; her daughter-in-law Opal; and her stepchildren, Karl McNew Jr., Ronda Bubolz and Marlin McNew.
She is survived by: her former husband Karl McNew Sr.; her children, Harold Maier Jr. of Boonville, Lee Maier (Dorothy) of Leroy, Donnie Maier (Kathy) of Newton, Elaine Simmons (David) of Boonville, Glenda Curnutte of Boonville and Bobby Maier (Sheila) of Centertown; and her daughters-in-law, Paula and Linda Maier. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hannah Cole Primary School.
