She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Vincel Gilpin and Dorothy Lee Gilpin (Neal); her husband V. Leroy Brown; her daughter Carol Brown; and her siblings, Charles, Bobby, Leon, Harold, Richard Gilpin, Stella Wheeler, Gail Chipley, Margie Thurmond and Romell Swindler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christina Sherwood (Tim) of Grass Lake and Dawn Lammers (Kevin) of Boonville; her siblings, Brenda Snyder (Marvin) of Boonville and Rodger Gilpin of Columbia; her grandchildren, Timothy, Tyler Sherwood of Michigan, Garrett, Jessica and Lindsey Lammers of Boonville; her great grandchildren, Blake and Brody Sherwood; and her pet Sammie.
