He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Gibson and Laveda Hicks Gibson; and his son Tim Gibson. He is survived by: his son Terry Gibson (Amanda) of New Franklin; his siblings, Richard Hicks (Jeannie) of Moberly, John Robinson of Turlock, Lonnie Gibson of Buckner and Leona Huffman of Joplin; his grandchildren, Jenni Gibson, Emily Gibson, Ashley Gibson, Aislinn Himmelberg, Jasmine Himmelberg, Brooklynn Brown and Elyas Brown; and his great grandchildren, Brent and Paislee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association or the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
