He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Lymer and Lorraine Lymer (Tipton); and his brother-in-law Dean Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Lymer of Boonville; his children, Scot Lymer (Joanie) of Bunceton, Shari Gerke (Mike) of Springfield and Susan Long (Chuck) of Boonville; his sister Judy Caldwell; his grandchildren, Darren Gerke (Kelly) and Alyssa Keeney (Bryce); and his great grandchildren, William, Matthew Gerke, Owen, Isla Keeney and Drake Cavanah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
