He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Homer and Nancy "Hazel" Elliott (Stewart); his siblings, Norman, Benjamin "Benny", Melvin Elliott and Judy Wainscott-Elliott; and his grandson Hunter Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Gerling; his daughters, Monica Elliott of Boonville, Jennifer Elliott of Columbia, Melissa Elliott of Boonville and Jessica Johnson (Greg) of Boonville; and his grandchildren, Elijah Gier, Andrea Jackson, Brianna Walker, Kaitlyn Koranteng-Elliott, Gavin Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Addison Johnson and Ava Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
