She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rudolph and Edna Sophia Derendinger (Stock); her former husband Bernard Oswald; her husband Robert Gilbert "Gil" Johnston; and her brothers, John Edward and Kenneth William Derendinger, Sr..
She is survived by: her sister Doris Dace (Jim); her sisters-in-law, Mary Derendinger, Linda Derendinger and Jean Shea; her daughter Margaret Eklund (Steve); her nieces and nephews, Penny Cain (Gordon), Tammy Poulsen, Kathleen Shea, Kenneth Derendinger, Jr., Timothy Derendinger, Sr. (Wanda), John Quentin Dace (Gayla) and John Phillip Derendinger (Beth); and her stepsons, Ben Johnston (Leisa) and Iain Johnston (Elizabeth). She is also survived by the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of her siblings and her husband.
