Roy Skelton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Skelton of Bonne Terre, Missouri, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Skelton to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen H. Skelton and Davie L. Skelton (McClain); his wife Lelia Eileen Skelton (Camden); his daughter Pearla "Fay" Pagan; his granddaughter Menissa Drum; his great grandchildren, Katie Dunivan and Ollie Wells; and his siblings, Charlie Skelton, James Skelton, Earl Skelton, Harvel Skelton, Lorene Riley and Gorden Beryman.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Bowers, Betty Psalmonds (Jerry), Brenda Shanefelter (Thomas), Samantha Tripp, Steven Skelton and Sandra Lineberry Knight; his grandchildren, Diva Stricklin, Cheryl Wilson, Lelia Sexton, Miranda Berry, Paul Pagan, Chris Downey, Matt Bowers, Amy Rector, Rita Wells, Billy Bowers, Jennifer Donovan, Susanne Mackley, Bruce Pratte, David Drum, Hershel Drum, Thomas Drum II, Jessica Drum, Terry Goad, Kenny Tripp, Karissa Messer and Amee Messer; and his close friends, Steve Stegall and Tom Tedder. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren; twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bonne Terre Church of God (223 Jackson St, Bonne Terre, MO 63628).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials can be made to The Ollie Foundation Children's Cancer Aid & Research.
