With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine L. Payne (Bonne Terre, Missouri), born in Doniphan, Missouri, who passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Fielding" Jones and Rosa Gladys Jones (Hatfield); her husband Elice Austin Payne; her son James Darryl Payne; her grandson Gabriel Smith; her siblings, James Edward Jones (Geraldine) and Myrtle Ann Brown (Leonard Eugene); her brother-in-law Howard "Junior" Steen; her brother Junior Leroy Jones; and her grandparents, Cyrus Hatfield, Myrtle May Hatfield (Curl), James W Jones and Mary Ann Jones-Georger (Hoover).
She is survived by: her sister Rosa Violet Steen (Jones) of Ferguson, MO; her sister-in-law Carol Sue Jones (McGinnis) of Bellefontaine, OH; her children, Brenda Hendrix (Dean) of Perryville, MO, Vernon Payne (Nancy Ackman) of Perryville, MO, Sandra Hearn of Arnold, MO, Patricia Smith (Joseph) of DeSoto, MO, Pamela Chilton (Randall) of Pevely, MO, Harold "Wayne" Payne of Hillsboro, MO, Kevin Payne Sr. of Hillsboro, MO and Dana Barrentine (Roger) of Hillsboro; her grandchildren, Melissa Riggs (Brian), Shawn Sanderson, Aaron Payne (Jaclyn Penfield), Andrena Olsen (Amos Petrie) of Kevin, Payne Jr., Brittney Richards, Candice Smith (Eric Reupke), Rachael Chilton (Jeffery Davis), Ashlynn Payne (Kyle Ostrowski), Samantha Barrentine, Landry Barrentine and Bobby Barrentine; and her great grandchildren, Ashleigh Chester of Jeffrey, Bibb, Kobe Petrie, Rickey McKee, Ethan Olsen, Dannalei Petrie, Kaden Olsen, Everett May, Asher Petrie and Jasper Davis.
