She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest G. Level and Susie Boyd (Creglow); her husband Thomas A. Hays; her daughter Brenda Lee Simmons; and her half-brother Shelton Boyd.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Hays, Judy Allmeroth, Tom Hays (Mian Barlow) and Elizabeth Motsinger (Scott); her sister Ruth Ann McArthy; and her friend Lee "Rip" Glore. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
Family has requested that memorial donations may be made to support the Cornerstone Café at Centenary United Methodist Church 20 Park Avenue Bonne Terre, MO 63628.
