He was predeceased by: his father Ellison Louis Abney Jr.; his stepfather George Carr; and his grandparents, Ellison, Iva Abney, Sr., Dan and Iva Matthews.
He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas A. Momot and Chase L. Abney; his grandson Nicholas A. Momot Jr.; his mother Helen M. Carr (Matthews); his sister Kimberly E. Rowden (Billy); and his friend Tracy Griffin.
