He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hegle and Edith Hegle; his son Steven Wayne; his wife Nola; his siblings, Paul, Iola Schroeder of Topeka, KS and Arlene Straub of Lenexa, KS; and his grandson Brandon.
He is survived by: his son Gary Lynn; his daughter-in-law Veva Hegle of Bolivar; and his daughter Deborah Vaughn of Joplin. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations are recommended to Open Hearts United Methodist Church of Bolivar, Southwest Baptist University's women's and/or men's basketball programs, or a charity of the donor's choice.
