We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2023, at the age of 73, Wayne Wiley Sumpter of Bolivar, Missouri, born in Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse J. Sumpter and Betty Sumpter (Fiddler); and his brother Jim Sumpter. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Struffert; his daughter Karen Sumpter of Kansas City, MO; his sister-in-law Linda Sumpter of Eugene, OR; and his nieces, Janessa Ketchum of Eugene, OR and Jaime Sumpter. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Memorial contributions are asked to the Salvation Army in Wayne's honor.
