He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Nelson and Robert Edward Nelson; and his brother Thomas "Tommy" Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Nelson; his children, Brian (LeAnne Nelson), Scott (Janell Nelson) and Jolene (Justin Warren); his grandchildren, Mattracea (Colton Wendleton), Jordan (Katie Nelson), Kali (Sam Wellman), Katelynn (Ethan Lockhart), Logan Warren, Korey Nelson and Jenna Nelson; his great grandchildren, Emmett Wendleton, Kinsley, Harper Lockhart, Lilah Nelson and Owen Wendleton; his sister Lois Carroll; and his sister-in-law Susie Nelson. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
