He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Laird and Grace Laird; and his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Foster (Elvin) and Cathy Akers (Ed); his siblings, Loretta Jessup, Faye Sullivan, Connie Payne, James and Kenny; and his granddaughters, Hillary Talburt and Kendra DeMoure. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
