He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Matchell and Lizzie Rumpel Matchell (Marie Matchell); his son Phil Matchell; and his brothers, Raymond Matchell and Joseph Matchell.
He is survived by: his sons, John Jr. (Brenda) of Annapolis and Steve (Connie) of Siloam Springs, AR.; and his grandchildren, Amy, Brad, Brian, Corrie, Phillip and Anna. He is also survived by 11 beautiful great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.
