He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Choate and Ruth Choate; and his brothers, WJ Choate (Junior) and Vester Choate. He is survived by: his wife Rita Jane Choate; his children, James Choate (Jamie) and Cynthia Stevenson; his grandchildren, Kristyn, Isaac and Enslee; his brother Edward Choate; and his sister-in-law Delcie Choate.
