She was predeceased by: her parents, Adrian Bradford and Katherine Bradford (Ruyle); her husband Everett Long; her sisters, Virginia Lawson and Mary Edna Engleking; her half-siblings, Ford Bradford and Athelene Marling; and her son-in-law Wayne Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Lawler, Jo Smith and Eunice Hucker; her son-in-law Joe Hucker; and her granddaughters, Mishelle Lawler and Tayla Smith. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family has requested memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to Immanuel Baptist Church, (West Nichols Street) Springfield, MO or Integrity Hospice of Springfield.
