He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lane and Arlene Lane (Lundy); his wife Emma; his siblings, Lila Geraldine, Della (Paxton) and Gary; and his daughter-in-law Dianne Westlake Lane.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Trullinger (Ed), Michael (Becky), Daniel (Diana), Nancy Baker (Jack), Susan Patten (John) and Allan (Ellen); and his sister Marjorie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
