He was predeceased by: his wife Eunice Bouyear; his parents, Clyde Bouyear and Sarah Bouyear; and his siblings, Elden Bouyear, Doyle Bouyear, Helen McFarland, Rita McGee and David Bouyear.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Janice Johnson of Blue Springs, MO; his sister Doris Carpenter of Blue Springs, MO; and his stepgrandsons, William C. Johnson II and Larry D. Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
