She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Russell Parks and Lena Parks (Bates); her husband Howard W. Laws; her son James R. Laws; her siblings, Loretta Harrington, Mickey Short and Sherdale Parks; her children, Gary Laws (Mary S. Laws) and Kathy Laws; and her siblings, Frances Hulsey, Dennis M. Parks and Danny D. Parks. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
