She was predeceased by: her parents, Sally Ann Sherrill and Robert E. Sherrill of Iola; her sister Denise Sherrill of Overland Park, KS; and her son John Shearer of Louisville, KY.. She is survived by: her husband Jim (Jim) of Blue Springs, MO; her daughter Joy (Matt); her grandsons, Blake, Preston and Greyson of Elgin, SC; her son James Shearer III (Kristi); her grandchild Ashley of Louisville, KY; her great grandchild Jason Shearer (Terri); her sisters, Jeanie Stultz (Mike) of Scottsdale, AZ and Barbara Sherrill of Iola, KS; her grandchildren, Jynna McMillin of Kailua, HI, Jessica Shearer of Susanville, CA and Jonathon Shearer of Louisville, KY.; and also James of Blue Springs, MO. She is also survived by many friends and relatives including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (301 SW Woods Chapel Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015).
