He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Amanda Nichols. He is survived by: his children, Robin Neidig-Buttress (Babe), Kelly Nichols (Gregory) and John Neidig (Lorri); and his grandchildren, Kayci, Abbey, Natalie, Kathryn, Braedon, Emma and Benjamin.
