It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Hummel of Blue Springs, Missouri, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hummel and Rosalie Hummel (Martin); and his brother Walt Hummel. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Denice Bretall; his sons, John Hummel (Rachel) of Pleasant Hill, MO and Scott Hummel (Omar) of Kansas City, MO; his siblings, Chris Hummel (Glenna) and Tim Hummel (Cheryl); his sisters-in-law, Gayle Hummel and Mary Koerkenmeier; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Blake, Ally (Will) and Luka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
