With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jerry Buttress of Blue Springs, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Buttress and Lola Buttress (Mize); his son John Buttress; his brothers, B. B. Buttress and Jimmie Buttress; and his siblings-in-law, Don, Jean McCormick and Charles Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Buttress of Blue Springs, MO; his children, Jimmie "Babe" Buttress (Robin) of Blue Springs, MO, Jerry "Mick" Buttress (Cindy) of Blue Springs, MO and James "Jamie" Buttress (Susan) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Kayci, Bryant (Carra), Abbey, Courtney (Juniour), Tyler (Halle), Ricardo, Miles (Grace) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Oakley, Penny, Rafael, Charlie and Everly; his sister Shirley Peterson (Jimmy) of Lee's Summit, MO; and his sister-in-law Marilyn (Ronald) of Buckner, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Buckner, MO. (131 S Hudson St, Buckner, MO 64016). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Buckner.
