With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Gatewood (Blue Springs, Missouri), born in Lone Jack, Missouri, who passed away on October 24, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Myres and Lucy Myres (Nowlin); her siblings, Marjorie, Naomi, Sue, Les and Lawrence; and her friend Harry Watkins.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas James Gatewood; her siblings, Carol Osterberger and Bob Myres; her sons, Jim Gatewood (Terry) of Columbia and Alan Gatewood (Ramona) of Concordia, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Damon Gatewood (Michelle), Ashli Renner (Tom), Amanda Davis (Darrin) and Matthew Gatewood; her great grandchildren, Brittani Renner, Austine Renner, Madeline Hermann, Everly Davis and Alexander Davis; and her great great grandchildren, Omarr Burress and Kolton Humble. She is also survived by many loving friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy will be made to the family's choice.
