He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his siblings, Willie, Howard and Zenovia; his children, David Jr. (Dorothy), Terry (Cynthia), Ken (Julie) and Vanessa (Haskins) Sims (James); his brother George Debose Sr. (Jane); and his caregivers, Andromeda Hicks, Nicole Hulme of Visiting Angels, Bev Dudley, Tanishia Young and Benton House of Blue Springs.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Graceway Church (5460 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
