He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred McClatchey and Marietta McClatchey (Hagerman); and his siblings, Arlene Watson, Verl and Gale McClatchey.

He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Updike; his wife Barbara McClatchey; his sons, Mark McClatchey of Wichita, KS, Greg McClatchey of Denver, CO and Chris McClatchey of Blue Springs, MO; and his sister-in-law Dorothy McClatchey of Des Moines, IA.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
