Cynthia Nevels Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2025, at the age of 63, Cynthia Nevels of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Charlotte Nevels; her grandparents, George, Maggie Wilson, Harry and Mary Nevels, Sr.; her aunts and uncles, Lizzie Jackson, Douglas Wilson, James Nevels and Suzy Nevels; and her close friend Leonard Rooney.
She is survived by: her father Colonel T. Len Nevels; her aunts and uncles, Georgiana Frazier, Harold Nevels, Sr., Rev. Harry Nevels, Jr., Michelle Nevels and Yolanda Wilson; her children, David Nevels, Donikea Hess-Hightower and DeShawn Rooney; her grandchildren, Caleigh, Kita'na, Kasen and Camden Nevels; her children, Dondre, Devion Hess, Aaliya, Kaiden and Zarick Rooney; and her cousin Yvette Frierson-Bannister.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Watkins Heritage Chapel (4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
